Francine Brown

We are delighted to welcome Francine as a guest exhibitor to the gallery. Francine works primarily with watercolours against a clay and mineral background. The soft veils of colour against a naturally illuminating ground provided an ethereal calmness to her work, inviting contemplation and a moment of respite from the noise of everyday life.She utilises a warm, muted palette to gain greater control over the visual effect and employs negative space to create a sense of calm and breathing room with the composition. A subtle narrative is always incorporated to encourage the viewer to make their own connections with the painting.
