Sarah Davis
Stained glass
Sarah trained in the stained glass at Bristol School of Art and has worked with glass for over 10 years. She often follows natural themes in abstract and figurative styles, using a variety of glass techniques.
Sarah’s work includes wall mounted panels, windows and free-standing ornamental pieces. She is greatly inspired by the natural world and the beauty of the Gloucestershire countryside, especially the Severn Valley and Cotswolds.
Sarah’s stained glass panels and hangings use two traditional techniques to join the glass: leading (like windows used in churches and houses, suitable for indoor and outdoor use; or Copper foiling, a lighter weight technique such as is used in Tiffany lampshades, generally only suitable for use indoors. Both types of stained glass panels can be seen in the gallery.
