Louise Regan is an artist and illustrator, based in North Oxfordshire. She works predominantly in ink and watercolour: perfect media for her intricate, detailed work. In some pieces, she captures an imaginary landscape, sometimes historial, inviting the viewer to visit and explore, creating their own narrative through fascination and intrigue. Other works are celebrations of architecture, sometimes in surreal form. Throughout, Louise’s love of mediaeval art is evident, portrayed through her use of detail, symbolism and a palette of rich colours.

Louise is a highly sought after commissioning artist, specialising in creating unique property ‘portraits’. Her approach to capturing the character of buildings ensures each finished piece is very personal to the homeowner.

Louise has illustrated two books, a book of poems To the Future, Love Cropredy by Heather Wastie and a collection of ‘bizarre’ recipes Deadly Dining – Judy Dyble’s Disastrous Delicacies by singer/songwriter Judy Dyble.

Louise is also a stone carver who appeared on “Make it to Market” in 2023. One of her stone sculptures was accepted for the Worshipful Company of Masons’ annual exhibition while she was just a level 1 student and a further three were accepted for their 2024 exhibition.
