Tor Hildyard – Printmaker and Painter
Tor is a prize winning printmaker, who has recently moved from Kent to Offenham, where she is planning to run printmaking workshops from her studio for both the experienced artist and for beginners who have never done printmaking before.
She was trained as an Illustrator/Printmaker at KIAD, Maidstone, Kent where she went as a mature student in 1993. After finishing her Degree with 1st Class Hons, she returned to Maidstone as a Printmaking Tutor and then stayed a further 5 years as the Printmaking Technician. While working at Maidstone, she also worked as a Tutor for the Adult Ed, teaching both Printmaking and Painting.
In 2009, she returned to Maidstone to take a Printmaking MA. where she experimented with new techniques, images and printing methods allowing her to challenge the boundaries of printmaking.
Tor shows her work both nationally and internationally and has recently had one of her prints shown at the Royal Academy Summer Show. She also shows at the Mall Galleries in London and has exhibited at the RBSA. She also contributes to the ‘Secrets’ exhibition at the RCA every year.
